Nick Collinson – Hailsham Town and Wealden District Councillor
I’ve been married for over 25 years and am the father of two grown up girls. I was born in Crowborough then spent most of my childhood in Horam and have now lived in Hailsham since 1991.
I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, taking my dogs out for country walks, pub lunches, and social activities along with some more practical interests such as home improvements, DIY and gardening.
I am a keen sportsman, having taken up most sports in my time, ranging from competing in triathlons to playing snooker, and until recently have been a keen 5-a-side footballer, I also enjoy a round of golf, although am something of a fair-weather player!
Having devoted most of my time in the last 20 years to establishing and running the business I jointly own based in Piltdown near Uckfield, I now feel it appropriate for me to put some of my time and effort back into the local community where I live.
As a local business man I feel it important that Hailsham can be an attractive proposition for businesses and families to settle compared with other local towns, and as such am keen to see Hailsham town centre rejuvenated and ensure that the town has all of the facilities and services it needs.
